Academics

The elementary program at Merritt Island Christian School provides academic instruction for grades kindergarten through fourth. The faculty is comprised of qualified and experienced professional educators who love Jesus Christ and are committed to student achievement providing the following opportunities and more:

• Curriculum vertically aligned from VPK- 12th grade- making the transition from each grade seamless

Students receive daily Bible teaching and attend chapel once a week.  All subject areas are taught from a Biblical worldview including: 

• Mathematics 
• Science 
• Language Arts
• Reading
• History and Geography 
• Media and Technology

Kindergarten-4th grade students also attend enrichment classes also taught from a Biblical Worldview including: 

• Spanish
• Music and Drama
• Art 
• Physical Education 
• Library which incorporates the Accelerated Reader program
• Technology
