The Preschool Academy would be honored to start your child’s early education experience. Our mission is to provide a safe learning environment while nurturing children’s capacity to grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively. We strive to deepen each child’s commitment to positive Christian values; values such as kindness, helpfulness, and respect for others.
Our staff members are dedicated Christians who love children and love their work. All staff members hold the 40-hour training required by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). If they have worked less than one year at The Preschool Academy, staff members are in the process of completing their required training. In addition, many of our staff hold their Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC) or Associates Degree.
All staff members are fingerprinted and have cleared a Level 2 Background Screening through the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). MICS Academy Staff are CPR and First Aid Certified within the first year of employment.
Our PK3 classes use Bob Jones Pathways to PreSchool curriculum, which is a Christian curriculum that focuses on literary, social development, language development, and beginning math concepts. Each day, the children are taught basic biblical concepts, stories, and songs. Art, music, and movement are also integrated into the curriculum. Our PK3 classes participate in a gymnastics enrichment class.
Our PK4 classes utilize the Bob Jones’ Footsteps for Fours curriculum. This curriculum integrates math, science, health, creative arts, social studies, physical movement, early literacy, and social-emotional development, all under a framework of guided instruction and imaginative play. Students learn Bible stories, verses and songs, and participate in regular chapel services. Our PK4 classes also participate in a gymnastics enrichment class.
