Application and Acceptance (K-12)

Students seeking admission to Merritt Island Christian School must create an online account, submit an online application, and turn in supplementary documents to the Admissions Office.  Only complete applications will be processed.  To create an account and submit an application CLICK HERE

Elementary Applicants (Grades K-6) 

  • Completed and submitted Online Student Application
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of previous year and current year report cards. Kindergarten applicants, who have attended VPK or another preschool program for four-year-olds, submit a progress report if applicable.
  • Copy of most recent standardized test scores. Kindergarten applicants, who have attended a VPK program, submit copies of the two most recent FDOE (Fla. Dept. of Education) VPK assessments.
  • (2) Teacher Referral forms
  • (1) Administrator or Guidance Counselor Referral form
  • Family interview with the Elementary Principal
  • $250 non-refundable application fee per student

Secondary Applicants (Grades 7-12)

  •  Completed and submitted Online Student Application
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of previous year and current year report cards
  • Copy of most recent standardized test scores
  • Copy of high school transcript (9th-12th applicants)
  • Teacher Referral form – Language Arts/English
  • Teacher Referral form – Mathematics
  • Administrator or Guidance Counselor  Referral form
  • Family interview with the Secondary Principal
  • $250.00 non-refundable application fee per student

1st – 9 th grade applicants will be scheduled for an assessment test. This assessment will give us insight into the student’s academic strengths and weaknesses. For 10 th – 12 th grade applicants, their high school transcript will be reviewed. After a thorough review of all application materials, the Admissions Team will meet to determine an applicant’s acceptance or non-acceptance which will be communicated to you as soon as possible. If accepted, the next step will be to complete enrollment procedures.
