At Merritt Island Christian School, we believe that faith is lived out through service. Our students are encouraged to step beyond the classroom and actively share the love of Christ with those around them. Through meaningful opportunities to serve, students develop compassion, leadership, and a deeper understanding of how God can use their unique gifts and talents for His glory. As Scripture reminds us in 1 John 3:18, we are called to love “not with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
Community outreach is woven into the culture of MICS. Each year, students have the opportunity to participate in a mission trip to Guatemala, where they serve alongside local ministries and experience firsthand the impact of sharing Christ’s love across cultures. Closer to home, our students partner with organizations such as the House of Hope Food and Clothing Ministry, Agape Women’s Center, and the First Space Coast Foundation, collecting donations, serving families in need, and supporting ministries that make a difference in our community.
At MICS, community is more than a program—it is a way of life. Located on Magnolia Avenue, our students are surrounded by opportunities to serve, encourage, and impact others for Christ. Through these experiences, they learn that living out their faith means being the hands and feet of Jesus both across the world and right in their own neighborhood.
