The High School Retreat is one of the most anticipated and impactful events of the school year at Merritt Island Christian School. Held at the beginning of each school year, the retreat provides students and faculty with an opportunity to step away from their daily routines and intentionally focus on building relationships, growing in their faith, and establishing a Christ-centered foundation for the year ahead.
Throughout the retreat, students participate in team-building activities, worship services, small-group discussions, chapel sessions, and recreational experiences designed to strengthen both their relationship with Christ and their connection to one another. As students engage with peers across grade levels and spend meaningful time with faculty, lasting friendships are formed, Christian community is strengthened, and a culture of unity begins to take shape.
More than simply a time away, the retreat challenges students to deepen their walk with Christ, embrace their identity in Him, and consider how God desires to use them throughout the coming school year. Through biblical teaching, worship, fellowship, and reflection, students are encouraged to pursue lives marked by faith, character, leadership, and service.
